Why Aren't We Publishing Scientific References?
In Turkey, the promotion of food supplements is subject to very strict rules under the framework of Law No. 5996, relevant regulations, and Advertising Board decisions.
According to these rules, in the promotion of a food supplement:
-
Mentioning disease names,
-
Making claims of treatment, prevention, or cure related to diseases,
-
Presenting a scientific study in a way that links it to the product is prohibited.
Therefore, even if scientific research has been published about a molecule (e.g., oleuropein),
sharing the results of these studies in conjunction with our product is considered an "indirect health claim" under the regulations.
In other words:
-
The scientific study may be correct,
-
It may have been published in international journals,
-
We may also be familiar with this information,
but in an environment where products are sold, the moment we mention that research, it is legally assumed that a marketing perception based on disease is created.
This applies regardless of how natural or scientifically-based the product is; because the legislation prioritizes consumer protection and does not want any supplement to be associated with disease.
Therefore;
-
We do not directly share scientific references,
-
We specifically avoid statements containing disease, treatment, or clinical outcomes,
-
We prepare all our content for general information purposes, in compliance with current legal regulations.
Our aim is to inform you in a way that is both transparent and fully compliant with the laws.
If you are curious about scientific literature, we can guide you on which keywords to use for your search; however, it is against regulations for us to present research on our behalf.
